I am so thankful for the strength that is mine as a Christian. I cannot do anything on my own, but through Christ, I can do all things. It is comforting to know that the word “all” includes the trials and concerns that I bring to The Lord each day. I lay them at His feet. I can do all things through Jesus who lives in me.
Recognizing that it is Christ who strengthens you take some of the pressure off. You can’t do it on your own. Focus instead on your strength through Him!
“ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
The Joy of the Lord is my strength.
Showing that I Love God
How do I love God? It must be more than a phrase I use in prayer. The way I show it is to keep His commandments. I need His strength for this. I ask the Lord to renew my desire to live according to His principles. They are not suggestions. They are commands. Honoring them will cause me to see His work in my life.
Do you know God’s commandments for your life? They are in His Word. We have access to them in scripture. God desires that we keep the commands He has given.
“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”
Spirit of Power
God, a spirit of fear is not from You! It is from the enemy. I choose to believe the promise from Your Word that You have given believers a spirit of power, love, and a strong mind. I will make solid and right decisions based on Your living Word. I claim this promise. You are my strength!
Messages that whisper what you cannot do are from the evil one. God’s messages for you will always be concerning what you can do. Through Christ, you are able.
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
